Danny Weissfeld is an Israeli-American guitarist whose musical journey has taken him from Israel to some of the world’s biggest stages. After serving in the Israeli army, Weissfeld moved to Los Angeles, where he built a successful international music career performing alongside artists such as Kelly Clarkson, James Blunt, and Anastacia. He is also the main guitarist for top Israeli musician Rami Kleinstein.

Yet despite the success and opportunities abroad, deeper questions about identity, belonging, Jewishness, and Israel continued to shape his personal journey. Living outside of Israel exposed Weissfeld both to the complexity of Jewish life in the Diaspora and to experiences of antisemitism that strengthened his connection to Israel and his Israeli identity. Eventually, Weissfeld made the life-changing decision to leave his career in Los Angeles and return to Israel — what he describes as his “second Aliyah,” this time it was by choice.

Today, Weissfeld brings these experiences together in a unique musical lecture experience, Choosing Israel – A Musical Journey Back to My Roots, combining personal storytelling, live guitar music, and open conversation. Through music and personal reflection, he explores themes of identity, belonging, Aliyah, antisemitism, and the emotional relationship between Jews around the world and the State of Israel. His lectures resonate deeply with Jewish communities, educational programs, young adults, offering audiences an honest, moving, and deeply personal perspective on what it means to choose Israel.
